A test rewarding high money is held and Ronan and his friends enter not only after the money. After one of his friend’s soul was captured by his father, Ronan joins the Blood Guard on a mission to retrieve it. The book takes place in the Blood Guard training camp and the Glass family mansion where the tests are held. Ronan’s dad holds something very important and has no intent of giving it to them.

In my opinion this book is great and I enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book to 6th graders and up as there is some violence. In The Glass Gauntlet by Carter Roy protagonist Ronan Truelove and his friends Greta, and Sam led by Blood Guard overseer Dawkins take an ultimate test but it isn’t all how it sounds. Picture joining a secret organization and taking a test that rewards a huge cash prize but is different from any test you have taken before.
